CalmParent is not an education class but rather provides a safe and secure environment for mothers to share their experiences. Tracey is warm and inviting as a facilitator and made me feel welcome each session. The discussion points that were covered each week were interesting and relevant. I did not feel any pressure to contribute to the discussion and at times simply sat back and listened to the other mother’s experiences.’

Tracey created a created a warm, nurturing and safe space for us and I felt so honoured to be able share my motherhood journey with her and the other mummies. I really enjoyed the content covered in each session particularly when we discussed the tower of contentment and family rituals. This course helped me to relate, learn and be inspired by other mums. ‘I absolutely adored attending the CalmParent classes every Wednesday. It was literally a big highlight of my week. Tracey has an amazing way of facilitating the group and a beautiful manner that put us all at ease to discuss the issues that are important to us as we embark on this new world of parenting. The whole thing is incredibly daunting, but knowing that others are going through the same or similar things to you, having similar feelings and frustrations, it just made everything so much more manageable. I remember distinctly having a few light bulb moments in the course, when things really dawned on me, mostly in relation to the way I naturally choose to parent and what has influenced that. I was intently keen to talk to others about how your relationships, (especially with your partner) can change when you bring a child into the world. That was so reassuring to hear others stories on this. Those early months are tough, there’s no two ways about it and it can really put such a strain on your relationship when you need each other the most. The course made me recognise my triggers and to approach things with my husband a little differently and that worked for the better! We have continued the friendship and close bond that we shared in CalmParent for over 18 months now, since we finished the official course and I cannot imagine my life without this fabulous group of ladies and their beautiful families in it. We chat, we dine, we playdate, we book club, we birthday party, we bbq, we share recommendations on products, we ask advice, we movie, we picnic, we swap and share clothes/ bassinets/books – the list is endless! I love my calm mummies xx’
